Down the Hatch

The movie: Stone lands safely in the water, and the re-entry module's hatch opens. Because the hatch is located on the side of the module, water immediately starts pouring in and the whole damn craft sinks. Just her luck.

Real life: Yeah, having a side-hatch is a bit of a design flaw for a re-entry module. The Shenzhou's re-entry capsule is pictured here, and if you'll note, the hatch is closer to the top than it was in the movie, precisely to avoid this pesky "drowning the astronauts" problem after splashdown.
