Perhaps you noticed that The Exorcist poster's tagline read "The scariest film of all time." Well, that title rightfully goes to Stanley Kubrik's The Shining, which is so relentlessly strange, disturbing and terrifying that you may need therapy afterwards. Jack Nicholson is outstanding as the father of a young boy with ESP who is slowly driven insane by the many ghosts that haunt the remote hotel he's hired to watch over. Its director, Stanley Kubrik is widely regarded as one of the greatest directors of all time, and The Shining is definitely among his very best. We guarantee, you'll have to watch at least fifteen percent of this movie through the cracks of your fingers!
