Director Emily Hagins has defied conventions throughout her budding career as a horror director in more ways than one. Not only is she a she, but more importantly she completed her first film Pathogen at the insanely young age of twelve! We're not talking about a five minute short shot on a shaky camera-phone, it was a feature length, award-winning zombie flick that actually played in theaters! Well, Hagins has matured some since then and now at the age of twenty-one she's completed her third feature the side-splitting vampire comedy My Sucky Teen Romance. The film was made through crowd-sourcing on Indie-Gogo and has received accolades from the likes of Diablo Cody and indie-film maven Richard Rodriguez!
