Laura Lau was one half of the directing team for the 2011 Elizabeth Olsen starring horror vehicle Silent House, an American Remake of a south American shocker that is most notable for being filmed in one continuous, masterful shot. Although it shared much in common with the original it's story was revamped slightly to put an accent on the backstory of Olsen's character — to say much more would mean giving away precious spoilers, but let's just say that the changes definitely reflect a feminine perspective and enhance the dramatic tension quite a bit.
