Africanized Honey Bees

Africanized honey bees is the preferred, less pants-wetting name for killer bees. The offspring of African honey bees and a variety of comparatively docile European honey bees, their origin can be traced to a breeding program in South America during the late 50s that, quite simply, sounds like the first act of a horror movie. Escaping into the Southwestern United States, killer bees haveĀ  garnered notoriety for their hair-trigger aggression and tenacity in chasing down a perceived threat.
