Claude Frollo, The Hunchback of Notre Dame

For the most part, Disney’s assemblage of bad guys were usually involved in some unsavory vocation complimentary to their status as a villain. That changed with The Hunchback of Notre Dame, introducing corrupt man of the cloth Claude Frollo. It was an interesting dichotomy (and a departure from the film's literary source material) as he presented himself as a devout man of god, yet his inability to forgive and accept what is different bred murderous contempt. Multifaceted, complex, and dramatic, Frollo makes every other villain look like a bunch of chumps...
