The Matrix blew our minds with all different sorts of weird-ass robots, but Hugo Weaving's Agent Smith, the human like A.I. program inside the Matrix that's programmed to exterminate renegade mortals is the most memorable. Few action scenes in the last fifteen years can hold a candle to scenes from the first, in which Keanu Reeves' Neo takes on dozens of carbon copies of Smith, and Weaving plays Smith with a pitch perfect blend of creepiness and humor, so it's no wonder Smith was recently selected as the 84th greatest movie character of all time by Empire Magazine.
