If you're unfamiliar with the so very, very, very demented DC comic The Doom Patrol, then you're missing out on one of the greatest and weirdest super-villains of all time, Brain. He's a scientist who performed experiments on animals to raise their IQ, and his right hand "man," Monsieur Mallah, is actually a super intelligent French beret wearing ape that Brain created, who often is tasked with transporting Brain's brain when it happens to be severed from his robot body. Yes, to date the robot version of Brain has been decapitated roughly a million times, and after each beheading he mysteriously appears back in his robot form soon after, with no explanation whatsoever… How can you NOT love a villain that strange?
