Orchid Mantis

A natural born predator that’s lopped off more heads than the French Revolution at its peak, the praying mantis is a force to reckoned with if you happen to be a bug on the bottom of the food chain. However, it’s almost hard to believe that its floral relative, the orchid mantis, is also capable of such ferocity. To its credit, though, not many insects can horrifically devour a writhing roach and still look resplendent.
