Data Runner by Sam A. Patel

Mixing classic 1980s cyberpunk tech with a distinctly modern feel and the strange sport of parkour, Data Runner is definitely one of the most unique books to come out this year. It follows a dude who runs around town smuggling data for sketchy folks by simply hoofing it, as it’s easier to get information from point A to point B without being caught if you aren’t using the pesky interwebs to do it. It’s full of great characters and intense moments, and is definitely a seriously enjoyable read even if you have zero interest in parkour.
