Lindsay Duncan as Adelaide Brooke

Of all the specials from Tennant’s last year as the Doctor, “Waters of Mars” was definitely the highlight. This was in no small part due to the excellence of Lindsay Duncan as Adelaide Brooke, the one-off companion who ended up sacrificing her own life just to preserve the timeline. The Doctor liked her so much that he tried to change history, consequences be damned. We like her too, and wish we could see more!
