Okay, so the whole “Tenth Doctor falling in love and getting emo” thing may have gotten a bit old REALLY quickly, but that doesn’t change how bummed out we were when Madame de Pompadour died in “The Girl in the Fireplace.” It might be a bit strange nowadays to have a former real life Doctor girlfriend play a companion, and it wouldn’t be the same now that the Tenth Doctor has moved on, but we can think longingly of what could’ve been!
