Ever get assigned a book to read for school and think “Man, why I can’t they make us read something that doesn’t completely suck?” We know how you feel! There are a few great books that get assigned for school readings, but more often than not we find ourselves crying out for relief. We compiled this list of fifteen really excellent science fiction and fantasy novels that we think are worthy of being taught in our schools. Whether it’s because they’re just perfect examples of the genre they represent, or they are full of more interesting talking points you can shake a stick at, you might want to consider leaving a copy of this list on your teacher’s desk!
