3. Mike from The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress

In the Robert Heinlein novel, a supercomputer called Mike becomes self-aware and develops a sense of humor. He is befriended by a computer technician, and together they plot the perfect revolution, seceding the Moon (Luna) from authorities on Earth. He is named after Mycroft, Sherlock Holmes’ brother.
