The Assassin Bug
The assassin bug definitely lives up to the reputation suggested by its badass name. Not only does it literally suck the guts out of much larger insects, it has the nerve to take on the big dogs of the microscopic world: spiders. The bug has a perversely ingenious strategy: pluck a thread of a spider's web, and wait in hiding until the arachnid investigates the disturbance. Then: ambush. You have to empathize with the poor spider on this one: this is like a dragon ringing your doorbell and gobbling you up when you see who it is.
