“I was working on a lot of other geeky projects at the time including a book with MST3K alumni Trace Beaulieu and the w00tStock shows put on by Wil Wheaton, Adam Savage, and Paul and Storm and I really wanted to work on more stuff like that,” Peralta told the MindHut. “It was fun and I got a lot out of it. So at lunch one day, a friend of mine suggested I draw a Geek A Week. I tagged the trading card idea on there and there it was!”
He ended up exceeded his drawing goal of 52 geeks in a year and spoke with some incredible personalities like Stan Lee and Neil Gaiman. He even created exclusive packs for the Discovery Channel and the show MythBusters, which were handed out at San Diego Comic-Con. Since then he’s also created some mini-sets.
