Dystopia is the hip subgenre of sci-fi nowadays, and George Orwell’s 1984 is arguably the most influential novel in the genre ever. It also happens to have a terrifying and interesting world that could definitely be the setting of an ongoing TV show, or at least a miniseries. It would probably need some new characters to bulk up the cast, but there’s a lot of potential in adventuring to Orwell’s dystopian nightmare.
