Every day it seems like there’s a new project about H.P. Lovecraft’s legendary Cthulhu mythos. There has been everything from independent silent films to board games to fan fiction for years, but nothing to speak of on TV. There’s a lot of “there” there when it comes to one of the better dark fantasy stories ever, and an empty canvas when it comes to character choices. All it needs is a big squid face evil Old God thing and a clever paranormal detective to try to put a stop it. Think of it as a mix between procedural and dark fantasy! What’s not to like?
