Dueling/Ballooning

Here are a couple of old-fashioned activities that were newish at the time. The duel was not two cowboys at high noon. The competitors in 1912 shot at mannequins, with a bullseye at the throat. Ballooning was held in 1900, and tested the competitors in distance, duration, elevation, and targeting. It's the 19th century X Games!
