Coffeemaker

Love coffee? Of course you do. But doesn't your black plastic Mr. Coffee make you feel a little bit...soulless? As if you're part of a giant bureaucratic wasteland of consumerism and mass production, devoid of all artistry and uniqueness? If so, get your Steampunk on with the News Brews. This ornate coffeemaker doesn't just look good, but like some kind of clockwork butler keeps you informed of world affairs. The machine is program to track multiple RSS feeds for mentions of coffee-growing regions in news sources across the world. It then brews a cup of coffee using different proportions of beans based on how often the beans' country of origin was mentioned. You can learn more about the project at creator Ben Brown's website.
