Adam Driver Likely to Play Villain in New Star Wars Movies!

According to Variety, actor Adam Driver is close to settling a deal to take on the villain role in Disney's new Star Wars films.

The report says that the character is going to be in the same vein as iconic villain Darth Vader. Originally Driver's casting was uncertain due to possible scheduling conflicts with the filming of HBO's Girls, in which Adam is a regular cast member, but those issues have been resolved and Driver is close to signing on for a multiple movie deal.

We're intrigued by this casting news! The report mentions that Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving were also considered. Although both clearly have the chops, having played multiple villainous roles before, we're interested in seeing the sort of villain the lanky Driver will play. His distinctive speech patterns could easily lend themself to an otherworldly role.
