Created by animation visionaries Bruce Timm and Paul Dini, Freakazoid! was intended to be an action series until orders from on high (a.k.a Steven Spielberg) thought it would work better as a comedy. If it weren't for Spielberg's suggestion, we never would have had one of the funniest, irreverent, and quotable super heroes to date. Even today, Freakazoid's brand of Jerry Lewis-inspired humor and constant pop culture references are just as sharp as they were over a decade ago.
