Mr. Toad's Hidden Gravestone

Nestled in an oft-overlooked corner of the Haunted Mansion’s pet cemetery in Disney World is a small bronze statue marking the grave site of one J. Thaddeus Toad from the film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. At face value it comes off as morbid, but the reason behind his “death” is more figurative than literal. When Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride was ousted to make way for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction, Disney Imagineers paid tribute to the affluent amphibian by erecting a small statue in his honor.
