The CW Reveals Grant Gustin's Full Flash Costume

For quite some time now we've been hearing plenty of hubbub about Warner Bros. Television and The CW's highly anticipated live action adaptation of the DC Universe's own "Scarlet Speedster," The Flash. And it wasn't long ago that we got our first glimpse of what's to expect when the studio unveiled a head shot of the hero's iconic lightning bolt-tipped mask. Today, we couldn't be any more excited about the potential series now that we've taken a gander at the Flash's full costume in a recent press release!

Designed by Colleen Atwood—winner of three Academy Awards awards in costume design as well as being the creative mastermind behind Arrow's costume in the titular series—pilot director and executive producer David Nutter is pleased with the final result, as the Flash's costume is highly evocative of its comic book roots.

As it stands, the pilot is still in its early stages (gunning for a slot on The CW's 2014-2015 program schedule), with production taking place in Vancouver. Regardless, there's still plenty to be excited about seeing as Arrow executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg are on board. Not to mention being joined by DC Comics writer/chief creative officer par excellence Geoff Johns on scripting duties for the pilot.

What do you think of the costume?
