Matt Fraction's current Hawkeye comic series is about Hawkeye's day-to-day adventures when he isn't busy being an Avenger. The comics include a teenage character we adore: Kate Bishop. She's a master markswoman and takes absolutely no excuses from the oft-discouraged Clint Barton. Apart from occasionally assuming the identity of Hawkeye herself, she joins Clint on missions and regularly drags him out of his own ennui. It's easy to forget that some of the lesser-known Avengers have lives outside being heroes, but this series—and Kate in particular—show that heroism doesn't always mean taking down big aliens in New York.
