Godzilla

Godzilla, The original 1954 version of Godzilla is not the cheese fest that you might think. Yes, it does feature a man in a rubber suit as its lead, but the film itself is impeccably well made, with a harrowing score and a genuinely moving subplot that will tug on your heartstrings. We’re not kidding here! In fact, there’s little of the camp that the series (both intentionally and unintentionally) injected in its subsequent sequels to be found here, yet it’s thrilling all the same.
