Count Zero by William Gibson

Okay, so William Gibson was already mentioned at the beginning of this list for his groundbreaking Neuromancer, but we would be remiss not to mention Count Zero. Technically a sequel to Neuromancer, this novel tells the story of Turner, a mercenary tasked with defending a young woman who has the ability to jack into cyberspace without any sort of equipment, and Bobby Newmark, a hacker who is almost killed when he tries out some new experimental technology. All the threads come together in the end of what is just as awesome a novel as its predecessor.
