Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson

If you’re already a cyberpunk fan and didn’t read Neuromancer first, chances are pretty high that Snow Crash was your first foray into the subgenre. It is routinely cited as one of the best books in the genre, and boasts great characters and a perfect style for cyberpunky goodness. Some readers may be put off by Stephenson’s tendency to give too much detail, but if you don’t mind sacrificing a bit of pacing for world building, Stephenson and Snow Crash will be right up your alley.
