Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

Of all of the cyberpunk novels to be released in the last decade or so, Ready Player One is definitely the best. The world of Ready Player One revolves around an MMORPG that practically everyone is playing, and it consumes their lives to the point where, for some people, it’s the only thing they do. Things get a bit more interesting when the late creator of the game promises that there is a hidden jackpot somewhere in the enormous game universe that would make the player who finds it the sole heir to his entire fortune.
