March 18: National Crochet Week Begins
Jeremy is the only string of hope I have left,
and even our relationship feels tenuous.
Which is why I went out of my way to smother him with affection
today.
I even told him I was ready to do it, and
I wasn’t playing around this time. Luke had my head all messed up,
but now I know Jeremy’s the one I belong with, and I need to do
this to prove I’m serious.
Jeremy hedged at first, worried I wasn’t really ready, but
ultimately relented when
I stuck to my story. He said his parents were going up to Indy for
a play on the twenty-first, in three days, so that would be perfect.
That’d be great, I told him, and meant it wholeheartedly. So there
you have it, the official word on my virginity: T minus three and
counting.
