We love recognizing you guys for your creativity, which is why we're excited to announce the official e-opening of The Cute Thing Hall of Fame, a collection of each caption of the week. One Sparkler already has three mentions! Can you guess who it is?
Wanna get inducted into the Cute Thing Hall of Fame? Write your captions for this adorable birthday kitten in the comments!
Luckily, for all you cat-NOT-DOG-lovers, we have a few extra links to share with you this week. One comes from villanous_mwaha, and the other is from Sparkler SlushiSushi.
...And for all of you who hate cute things (why are you reading this?), here's our Gross Thing of the Week. Now, is everybody happy?
Write your French Bulldog phone captions in the comments!
Sparkler Proxidike sent in so many cute photos from a recent African safari that we couldn't choose just one. In this pic, the zebra's great and all, but it's the zebra's little buddy that really maximizes cuteness. For riding on the back of a wild animal 392 times its size, that teeny bird looks like it doesn't have a care in the world.
Adopt the perspective of the bird, the zebra, or just an outsider, and leave your caption about this unlikely frienship in the comments!
Our regular Cute Thing caption fiesta is going on a week-long siesta so we can bring you a music video that's too cute (and ridiculous) not to publish.
Sparkler psalmer sent us the link to this video, and is trying to get his whole school to sing along. If you can make it happen, Psalmer23, we'd love to see a YouTube clip of that, too!
Can you believe this photo of a baby rhino was taken by a Sparkler on safari?! Sparkler Proxidike recently got back from a trip to Africa, and sent us loads of adorable exotic baby animal pics.
The little guy (or gal...we're not sure) feeding from a bottle in this shot is only eight months old, and is making us editors wonder if the "no dogs or cats allowed" rule in our New York apartments means we could keep a rhinoceros instead.
We'll do some research. In the meantime, leave your Cute Thing captions in the comments!
This photo illustrates perfectly the reasons we should all aspire to be dogs: When you're a dog, there is no loss of innocence, no obligation to be self-aware, no such things as ego, responsibility, creepy uncles, or dental floss.
You wanna get wet? Jump in a fountain.
You see a statue that vaguely looks like some dude you met three years ago who smelled like pork? Facepaw the crud outta him.
The world is your playpen, and any stonefaced creature could be your next best friend.
So if you're ever given the choice between being a human and a dog, choose dog. The only thing humans can do better is write captions.
Sparklers, show us what you've got by leaving your caption in the comments below!
We looooove elephants because they're always smiling like it's Gossip Girl Season Premiere Day!!! they just got accepted to their dream college.
(OK, we know it's not "good TV," but we have a liiiiittttle obsession with Gossip Girl. 'Specially Ed Westwick. Yum.)
But that's neither here nor there. (It's at 9/8c, on the CW, actually.)
This is about elephants, how cute they are, and your creative cranial juices. We've never had elephants on Cute Thing before, and we're intrigued to read your captions in the comments!
