RC passages are generally taken from the fields of natural science, social science, and the humanities. The test makers draw the passages from various sources, including scholarly journals, magazines, biographies, works of literature, and textbooks. The passages mimic the material you’ll be reading in grad school, with advanced vocabulary, complex sentence structure, and complicated ideas.
