The Real Deal: Practice Set
So, how are you feeling about Logical Reasoning? A bit overwhelmed, perhaps?
Don’t worry, that’s natural. For one thing, there’s lots of information to digest
with 11 distinct question types, especially since we’ve provided you with specific
Battleplans for each.
How can you be expected to memorize all that stuff?
Simple—you’re not. In the context of practice, the steps we’ve discussed will
make sense, as long as you get as much as you can out of every question you face. So
it shouldn’t be a matter of robotic memorization but rather of
internalization—something we’ve reminded you of in Step 4 of
the Essential Strategy. Get to know the strategies for each question type to the
point where they not only make sense to you but occur to you unconsciously,
automatically. As you internalize the Take Aways, you will also internalize the ways
to approach each question. The Essential Concepts and Battleplans are your tools,
but these tools will be no good to you unless you sharpen them with directed
practice. The practice set that follows is your first opportunity. Then you’ll have
two full Logical Reasoning sections—50 more questions—to hone your approach. And
then of course you should practice with real LSAT questions to reinforce your
understanding and apply the finishing touches.
So, let’s get to the practice set, which contains nine more Logical Reasoning
questions from previous LSATs.
NOTE: The “Real Deal” practice set contains actual LSAT questions from previous exams and could not be included in the online version of this book. If you’re in the beginning stages of your preparation, don’t obsess over timing; cut yourself a bit of slack to focus on the concepts we’ve thrown at you. If you’re further along, and your test is approaching soon, then try to do each question in roughly a minute and a quarter, give or take. Of course, spend an ample amount of time with the explanations following the set. We’ll catch up with you on the other side. |
