Logical Reasoning Summary
Logical Reasoning Summary
The point of this chapter is to establish a foundation from which to tackle Logical Reasoning questions with speed, confidence, and accuracy. On top of the Essential Concepts and the Essential Strategy, you’ve learned how to recognize and handle every question type that’s likely to appear on your test. Not just the three or four most common ones, but all 11. Are you expected to be an expert now? No—you’ll need to apply what you’ve learned to many practice questions. The 24 questions in this chapter provide an excellent start. Later you’ll see another 50 Logical Reasoning questions in the practice test at the end of the book, which will help reinforce what you’ve learned already as well as illuminate further nuances.
“But all this logic stuff is totally nitpicky . . .” you may be thinking at this point. Well guess what?—so is the law. Professional billiards players don’t need to think like this. You do. You chose this path. Precision is what it’s all about; this section is called “Logical Reasoning,” after all. You can rail against a form of thinking you consider cruel and arcane, or you can relish the challenge it presents. Let’s just say that the latter is more pleasing to the LSAT gods. Consider Logical Reasoning questions as mini mysteries, and the Essential Concepts, Essential Strategy, Battleplans, and techniques discussed in this chapter your tools for solving them.
