How to Use this Test
Making the best use of this test depends on where you are in your LSAT
preparation. If you’re just beginning, consider checking out the Logic Games hints
to give you a leg up on that section. You
may also wish to work on one Logic Game, one Reading Comprehension passage, and
three to five Logical Reasoning questions at a time before consulting the
explanations. You need not obsess over timing guidelines at this stage, but do stay
conscious of roughly how long it takes to work through the questions in each
section. Mine the experience, as always, as you build your way toward taking
full-length practice tests later.
If you’re in the middle stage of your preparation, read the Logic Games hints
only if you’re having trouble with that
section, or get stuck on a particular game. Take each section in its entirety and
then stop to work through the explanations. Pay attention to our section management
tips, and try to adhere to the timing guidelines. It’s okay, however, to give
yourself a little extra time to complete a section if necessary.
If you’re in the final stage of your preparation, take all four sections as a
simulated testing experience, allowing yourself one 10-minute break in the middle.
Try the Logic Games section without reading the hints . (If you still have trouble with the games, you can always try
them again later on after checking out the hints.) Strictly observe timing
guidelines and do your best to implement the section management strategies.
Okay, it’s go time. Decide which approach works best for you at this stage of
the game, and then have at it.
