And Finally . . .
In preparing for multiple-choice writing, you’re also laying the groundwork for success on the essay. Sentence-level items test sentence-level writing skills passively. Paragraph Improvement sets build on these skills, passively testing the arrangement of sentences within paragraphs and the arrangement of paragraphs within passages. The essay will provide you with an opportunity to actively apply your language skills.
Much like musical proficiency, writing proficiency depends on having good role models (listen to the greats; read only the best writing), cultivating top-notch skills, and practice, practice, practice.
On to the practice items!
