Sentence Addition
Frequently, the purpose of adding a sentence, even if
this purpose is not explicitly stated in the question, is to smooth
a rough transition. Therefore, when you see a sentence addition question
and are preparing your own answer, try to see how you could improve
the transition from paragraph to paragraph or from sentence to sentence.
Here are two sample sentence addition questions:

be added after sentence 7 in order to link the second paragraph
to the rest of the essay?
Which of the following sentences should be inserted at
the beginning of the third paragraph, before sentence 10? |
