Some foreign-language words, such as cliché,
have become firmly entrenched in the language. If a word is in the
dictionary, it is considered an English-language word and should
not be italicized. You
may choose to keep or drop the accents. SparkNotes prefers keeping
the original accents, especially since contemporary word-processing
software makes it so easy.
