Afterward vs. Afterword
afterward: at a later time, after something else (adv.)
• We surfed all day; afterward, we slept on the beach.
afterword: the text that follows a novel, etc.; literally, the word after (n.)
• Sprawled on the sand, I flipped open my novel and turned to the afterword.
