Et Al.
The Latin term et al. means “and others.” It is used in scholarly contexts and need not be italicized.
• Of Pitchers and Belly-Itchers (Andrew Littell et al., 2002) chronicles the trials and tribulations of four Little Leaguers afflicted with chronic chicken pox.
Et al. is an abbreviation for the masculine et alii, the feminine et aliae, or the neuter et alia.
