If you didn’t squee as soon as you \u00a0laid eyes on these BB-8-inspired sneakers, then we’ve got bad news: there’s a solid chance that you’re Kylo Ren. (In which case, HOW DARE YOU, SIR.) If you did<\/em> squee, however, you’re definitely a Rey\/Poe\/Finn at heart, and you’re going to LURVE this DIY. Check out the below tutorial to make a pair of these j’adorbs sneaks for yourself!<\/p>\n Here’s what you’ll need to create your own \u00a0stellar droid sneakers:<\/p>\n To keep things all nice and tidy, you’ll first want to remove the laces and protect any parts of the shoe that you don’t want to get paint on (painter’s tape along \u00a0the soles and \u00a0some plastic bags inside of the shoe should work well). \u00a0You can then cut out the circular part of the printed image<\/a> \u00a0to use as a stencil, and lightly trace the design onto the shoe with a \u00a0pencil.<\/p>\n Next, you can break out your \u00a0acrylic paints. Painting the \u00a0design \u00a0without smudging or dripping or blobbing might \u00a0seem as \u00a0nerve-wracking as fighting your maybe-brother to the death in a light-saber duel<\/a>, \u00a0but don’t stress too much! The whole process should go \u00a0pretty smoothly if you paint carefully and slowly; using a smaller \u00a0brush and tiny \u00a0amounts of paint will also \u00a0make things easier!<\/p>\n After your \u00a0orange circles have \u00a0dried, just \u00a0repeat the same steps \u00a0with the lines and dots in gray\u2014I free-handed mine, but there are lots of reference images available online<\/a>!<\/p>\n Continue painting designs along the sides and the back of the shoe (my side panels were inspired \u00a0by the patterns on BB-8’s head, and I left the back panels a simple, solid \u00a0orange).
