Look, cinema is a fluid and complex medium and it takes years to hone the craft. And \u00a0I think if there&#8217;s one thing we can all agree on \u00a0in this ruined world, it&#8217;s that these ten scenes\u2014these juggernauts of filmmaking, if you will\u2014are \u00a0not only extremely necessary to their larger works but also serve as the foundation upon which the legacy of cinema itself will forever lie.<\/p>\n<p>They are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>#10: Zac Efron&#8217;s inexplicable golf course outburst in <em>High School Musical 2<\/em>.<\/strong><br \/>\nTroy finds himself once more in the unenviable position of having his head in the game but his heart in the song. He allows this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GLtGKEi6N4U\" target=\"_blank\">emotional crisis<\/a> to play out on a golf course through a series of increasingly hilarious leaps, bounds, and twirls, plus a few \u00a0surprise maneuvers \u00a0involving jazz hands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#9: Legolas tells Aragorn where they&#8217;re taking the hobbits in \u00a0<em>Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. \u00a0<\/em>Hint: it&#8217;s Isengard.<\/strong><br \/>\nThis scene is the scene that launched a thousand sweet remixes, to the point where it&#8217;s somewhat difficult to find the original. But once you do, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=V77Zi5r4O3s\" target=\"_blank\">boy is it ever \u00a0worth it<\/a>. Everything about this is gold, from &#8220;Legolas, what do your elf eyes see?&#8221; to Aragorn&#8217;s expression of either distress or constipation, it&#8217;s hard to tell, before he reverently whispers &#8220;SARUMAN.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>#8: \u00a0That \u00a0whole thing \u00a0with David Hasselhoff in <em>The<\/em> \u00a0<em>SpongeBob Squarepants Movie<\/em>.<br \/>\n<\/strong>This was the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BvxPkijUT6U\" target=\"_blank\">greatest plot twist<\/a> in the history of plot twists, don&#8217;t @ me. I see your &#8220;Snape kills Dumbledore&#8221; and your &#8220;Bruce Willis was dead the whole time,&#8221; and I raise you &#8220;Spongebob and Patrick are rescued by <em>Baywatch<\/em>&#8216;s very own Mitch Buchannon.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>#7: \u00a0The &#8220;Jingle Bell Rock&#8221; scene from <em>Mean Girls<\/em>.<\/strong><br \/>\nDo I need to expound upon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=h81UOjlFmMs\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a>? Is there anyone here whose life <em>hasn&#8217;t<\/em> been irrevocably changed for the better by Gretchen Wieners kicking a radio right into Jason&#8217;s face?<\/p>\n<p><strong>#6: \u00a0The <em>Twilight<\/em> baseball scene.<\/strong><br \/>\nI did say <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=AZIk5wIq2Qw\" target=\"_blank\">this scene<\/a> was on here and I meant every word.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#5: \u00a0That part in <em>The Lizzie McGuire Movie<\/em> where Paolo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sf1cx7xdWCc\" target=\"_blank\">gets absolutely wrecked<\/a> on live television.<\/strong><br \/>\nHE SOUNDS LIKE \u00a0AN UNHOLY HYBRID OF A DYING BEACHED WHALE AND A DONKEY THAT&#8217;S INTERNALLY COMBUSTING. THIS WAS HIS KARMIC REWARD FOR TRYING TO RUIN ISABELLA&#8217;S CAREER. (ALSO? &#8220;WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF&#8221; IS SUCH A TUNE AND I&#8217;LL STAND BY THAT STATEMENT UNTIL THE DAY I DIE.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>#4: \u00a0The part in <em>Legally Blonde<\/em> where Elle Woods has Chutney right where she damn well wants her.<\/strong><br \/>\nRemember when \u00a0Elle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uvrHS7KdZ64\" target=\"_blank\">won the case<\/a> by staying true to herself and simultaneously making every other court scene in the history of cinema look like a pile of hot garbage?<\/p>\n<p><strong>#3: The &#8220;I Need a Hero&#8221; scene from <em>Shrek 2<\/em>.<\/strong><br \/>\nI have nothing further to add to this, other than it is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=J8u9yGbdAoI\" target=\"_blank\">anthem of our time<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#2: Andrew Garfield&#8217;s Eduardo Saverin \u00a0confronts \u00a0Jesse Eisenberg&#8217;s Mark Zuckerberg in <em>The Social Network<\/em>.<\/strong><br \/>\nI think we all remember where we were when we first saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=551kYG2myoU\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a>, and I think we can all agree that Eduardo&#8217;s choice alliterative expletives for Zuckerberg were \u00a0a marvel of modern cinema.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#1: \u00a0That part in \u00a0<em>Captain America: Civil War<\/em>. You know the one I&#8217;m talking about.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe one where Bucky just \u00a0<i>pulls a motorcycle out of practically nowhere \u00a0<\/i>(never mind the guy who was already riding it) and OFF HE GOES.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And before you say anything, yes, the Twilight baseball scene is on here.
