What&#8217;s ridiculous is that we&#8217;re still doing things like ASKING PEOPLE OUT ON DATES instead of JUST \u00a0MAKING EYE CONTACT AND WORDLESSLY AGREEING THERE&#8217;S A MUTUAL INTEREST. How am I supposed to get my mouth to make the appropriate \u00a0words? What if I open my mouth and nothing comes out? What if something DOES \u00a0come out but it&#8217;s just a long, protracted scream? <i>What then?<\/i><\/p>\n<p>For those \u00a0similarly afflicted, \u00a0look no further than Shakespeare&#8217;s entire body of work. If you&#8217;re asking someone out, and your mouth goes dry and your brain blank, \u00a0try:<\/p>\n<p>1. &#8220;Will you <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparknotes.com\/shakespeare\/juliuscaesar\/\" target=\"_blank\">dine<\/a> with me to-morrow?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>2. &#8220;What say you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparknotes.com\/shakespeare\/romeojuliet\/\" target=\"_blank\">Thursday<\/a>?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>3. &#8220;I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparknotes.com\/shakespeare\/tempest\/\" target=\"_blank\">prithee<\/a>, let me bring thee where crabs grow; and I with my long nails will dig thee pignuts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>4. &#8220;Sir, I entreat you home with me to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparknotes.com\/shakespeare\/merchant\/\" target=\"_blank\">dinner<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>5. &#8220;If thou wilt, go with me to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparknotes.com\/shakespeare\/twogentlemen\/\" target=\"_blank\">alehouse<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>6. &#8220;I love you <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparknotes.com\/shakespeare\/timonofathens\/\" target=\"_blank\">well<\/a>; I&#8217;ll give you gold.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>7. &#8220;To-night we hold a solemn supper sir, and I&#8217;ll <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparknotes.com\/shakespeare\/macbeth\/\" target=\"_blank\">request<\/a> your presence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>8. &#8220;Against my will I am sent to bid you come in to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparknotes.com\/shakespeare\/muchado\/\" target=\"_blank\">dinner<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>9.
