{"id":1398955,"date":"2017-12-06T10:00:17","date_gmt":"2017-12-06T15:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/community.sparknotes.com\/?p=1398955"},"modified":"2017-12-05T16:16:42","modified_gmt":"2017-12-05T21:16:42","slug":"the-harry-potter-books-ranked-from-worst-to-best","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/blog\/the-harry-potter-books-ranked-from-worst-to-best\/","title":{"rendered":"The Harry Potter Books, Ranked from Worst to Best"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/img.sparknotes.com\/content\/sparklife\/sparktalk\/july31hpbooksrankedMAIN_LargeWide.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"701\" height=\"394\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When I&#8217;m not here on SparkNotes writing about <a href=\"http:\/\/community.sparknotes.com\/2017\/04\/28\/quiz-is-this-a-hamlet-quote-or-a-my-chemical-romance-lyric\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Hamlet<\/i> and My Chemical Romance<\/a>, I can be found saying things like &#8220;Obviously wizards must pay taxes since Hogwarts has free tuition, but do they also have to pay <em>Muggle<\/em> taxes?&#8221; offhand to strangers on public transportation.<\/p>\n<p>What I&#8217;m getting at here is that I&#8217;m obsessed with Harry Potter and I love it with my whole heart. I&#8217;m not here to argue about which book is the best book, because they are all obviously the best book. However, I&#8217;m willing to admit that there is a very definitive \u00a0ranking. Everyone has a favorite and a least favorite, and we&#8217;ll all be better off if we just admit that. I know, it&#8217;s hard. No parent wants to admit they have a favorite kid, but they DO, which I know for a fact because that kid wasn&#8217;t me.
