I don’t know about you guys, but I always thought of Stephen Hawking as a permanent fixture in our world. I kind of just assumed he would live forever. He may have been in his \u00a070s, and he may have had \u00a0a neurogenerative disease, but he gave off that sort of eternal energy\u2014whether he was unlocking the secrets of the universe, throwing parties for time travelers<\/a>, good-naturedly roasting John Oliver<\/a>, or assuring distressed teens<\/a> that there could exist \u00a0a parallel universe in which Zayn never left One Direction.<\/p>\n

Sadly, the renowned physicist and general visionary \u00a0died early this morning at the age of 76<\/a>. As a tribute, we thought we’d share \u00a0some of his most inspirational quotes.
