I don’t know what I would do without Google. Back in the olden days, you didn’t have all this information at your fingertips. Instead, you had to WONDER THINGS. You couldn’t just ask Siri; you had to EARN IT. On average, I thoughtlessly Google about 12,000 things a day, not only because I’m a curious person by nature but also because I’m an idiot who can never remember when Mother’s Day is or how many ounces are in a cup.<\/p>\n

Given this, how do you expect me to survive at Hogwarts? It’s basically magic high school, sure, but it’s also a dusty, tech-less netherworld where everything is a mystery and there’s no such thing as Google. You would have found me on the first train back to London the second I realized I couldn’t immediately Google \u201cWhat would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?\u201d or even just \u201cHow do I do magic?\u201d<\/p>\n

I know the Harry Potter books wouldn’t be QUITE as enjoyable if people could simply look stuff up instead of risking life, limb, and expulsion to visit the Restricted Section. But that hasn’t stopped me from wondering how much easier Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s lives would’ve been with Google at their disposal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
