(This is definitely a real statistic, probably. I mean, it <i>feels<\/i> right.) That&#8217;s because young adults are a powerful demographic. How powerful, you may ask? Well, I&#8217;m pretty sure they&#8217;re on track to rule the world by 2020, and judging by all the Vine compilations I&#8217;ve seen, they fear neither pain nor death.<\/p>\n<p>So what we&#8217;re dealing with is a compelling (and lucrative) genre. And if the following classics were to be published nowadays, I have no doubt they would have been pitched as YA. Without further ado, here are some classics reimagined as the YA novels they were always meant to be.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: If this list inspires you to write any of these books as classic retellings, make sure to give credit where credit is due.
