Well, because five Latin American countries celebrate their independence from Spain on the same day\u2014the countries being Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, and the day being September 15th\u2014so this was chosen as the celebration&#8217;s starting point. Latinx Heritage Month ends on October 15th and therefore encompasses Mexico&#8217;s Independence Day on September 16th, as well as Chile&#8217;s on the 18th and Belize&#8217;s on the 21st. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clearly, there&#8217;s much to celebrate!
