This unit presents concepts and terms that are fundamental to an understanding of calculus. We begin with a review of functions that includes their properties, their classification, and a highlight of certain types of functions that will be especially important in Calculus AB. Next is an introduction to the key notion of limits, which will become the basis for the development of the derivative. Finally, the continuity of functions is presented as the first graphical application of limits.
