Overview

Released in 2022, Everything Everywhere All at Once is the second feature film by filmmaking duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, popularly known as “The Daniels.” An absurdist comedy-drama that blends elements from a wide array of genres including science fiction, martial arts film, and animation, Everything Everywhere All at Once follows Evelyn Quan Wang, a middle-aged Chinese American immigrant whose ordinary life is upended when a powerful being from a parallel universe threatens to destroy her world and the entire multiverse. The film, which explores family conflict, Asian American identity, and the search for meaning in a seemingly meaningless universe, won seven awards at the 95th academy awards, including Best Picture.
